Inflorescence with or without axis, axillary, shorter than the leaves, paniculate or flowers in small branched or unbranched clusters; bracts not leaf-like*, green; not articulated*. Male flowers: sessile, sepals 5, free*, more or less in 2 rows, imbricate, greenish; petals 5, imbricate, greenish, hairy inside; disc inside the staminal whorl (intrastaminal), annular, 5-lobed; stamens 5, free; anther without conspicuous modification, thecae introrse in bud; pistillode deeply 2–3-lobed.
